The Bombe Kontema coffee originates from the Bombe village in Sidama, where high elevations and ideal conditions—rich soil, abundant rainfall, and a sunny climate—create a perfect growing environment. After being harvested by nearby farmers, the coffee is brought to the Kontema Station for natural processing. This station is a central hub for more than 1,000 farmers and can process as much as 450,000 kilograms of coffee per season. The unique taste of this coffee is a direct result of its surroundings: the humid atmosphere, dense plant life, and the slow ripening of the cherries at altitude.
